  • Arriving at Sanya

I am currently at Sanya (三亞, 海南島), traveling on a business trip with my mother.

We arrived well over mid-night because the delay of our flight from Shanghai. Due to the heavy fog in Pu Dong Airport (Shanghai's international airport), we are transfered to Hong Qiao Airport (Domestic),despite the inconvenience the incident causes us, it was a pretty interesting experience to interchange between different airports. The arrangement however as expected, very disappointing. When we were dropped of at Hong Qiao Airport by the coaches ~ totally confused, there was no staff to follow up our transfer, nor did any information and instructions was given. Some passengers went to the counter to re-check-in, some went straight to custom and found themselves rejected because they are not holding a valid boarding pass, totally chaotic. Anyway, it was a miracle that all passengers manage to get on the plane.

This is one of the million unpleasant experiences when we visit mainland China, unfortunately, most local mainland Chinese are unaware of those issues we see. No matter how fast their economy grows, how many new infrastructures they built, the software especially the people quality and service level still has a long way to catch up.
